Your profile and background
Experience & Skills
- A degree in Hydrography, Geomatics, Oceanography or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant hydrographic survey experience.
- Strong knowledge of hydrographic survey equipment, software and methodologies.
- Experience within the offshore industry, preferably involving vessel-based survey operations, cable installation, cable repairs or cable reburial activities.
- Experience with data analysis, quality control and validation of survey data and technical reporting.
- Excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of Dutch (B1) or German is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within Europe and work offshore in accordance with the AWMF standard.

Your contribution to TenneT
How will you help keep the Netherlands powered?
As a Senior Hydrographic Survey, you are responsible for providing specialist survey expertise for the operation, maintenance and intervention of offshore high-voltage cable systems, ensuring the continued reliability, affordability and sustainability of the Dutch electricity network.
- You analyse survey data, validate processing outputs and assess the quality of datasets, reports and deliverables, so that asset integrity and performance decisions are based on reliable information.
- You advise internal stakeholders on survey-related matters within operational maintenance activities, cable repairs and cable reburial projects, so that technical decisions align with asset management, safety and operational requirements.
- You develop, review and optimise survey methodologies, procedures and technical standards, so that activities are executed in accordance with specifications, regulations and industry best practices.
- You collaborate with colleagues from Operations, Maintenance, Projects and external survey contractors, so that offshore activities are delivered safely, efficiently and according to plan.
- You ensure the correct application of survey expertise within the subsea domain and coach colleagues on technical topics, so that knowledge sharing and quality assurance are strengthened across the team.
- You evaluate existing working methods and identify opportunities for improvement in survey processes, tools and data applications, so that the performance, efficiency and reliability of offshore assets continue to improve.

This will be our challenge
The Offshore division manages the entire lifecycle of all TenneT offshore installations, from development and realisation to maintenance and handover to the Operate division. A crucial task is the construction of 2 GW offshore ‘sockets’, which collect and transport generated wind energy to the mainland.
