Experience & skills
- A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a technical field
- Several years of experience as a project or works manager in complex offshore high‑voltage cable projects
- Experience with offshore operations such as surveys, cable installation, repair, and reburial
- Knowledge of contract management, preferably FIDIC and LOGIC
- Understanding of geo‑sciences and offshore cable systems
- Project management certification (e.g. IPMA, PMP, or equivalent)
- Strong planning, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Dutch (minimum B1) or German is an advantage
- Willingness to travel within Europe and to work offshore

How will you help power the Netherlands?
As a Project Manager Offshore Cable, you are responsible for delivering complex maintenance and repair projects for offshore cable systems, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.
- You lead complex offshore cable projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring control of planning, budget, quality, and safety so that assets remain reliably in operation.
- You coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external contractors and align with stakeholders such as grid connection managers and maintenance planners, so that work is executed in an integrated and efficient way.
- You develop maintenance and repair plans, prepare reports and decision documents, and advise management and authorities, so that decisions are well‑founded and timely.
- You establish and manage contracts and service agreements with suppliers and contractors, so that TenneT maintains effective repair readiness and service continuity.
- You identify project risks, assess impacts, and implement mitigation and compliance measures, so that all activities meet permit requirements, contractual obligations, and TenneT standards.
- You safeguard technical documentation and asset data and contribute to process improvements within the subsea domain, so that safe and efficient long‑term asset operations are ensured.

This will be our challenge
The Offshore division manages the entire lifecycle of all TenneT offshore installations, from development and realisation to maintenance and handover to the Operate division. A crucial task is the construction of 2 GW offshore ‘sockets’, which collect and transport generated wind energy to the mainland.

We offer you:
- A permanent contract with a two-month probation period, based on 40 hours per week, or a one-year contract with the intention of becoming permanent.
- A salary in scale 9, including 8% holiday allowance and a 6% year-end bonus.
- A solid pension plan through ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
- 43 days of leave per year.
