At least 3 years of experience in a similar role and 5+ years of experience in large technical project environments.

A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience with building-related installations within energy transmission projects (e.g. HVAC, HVDC, or converter stations).

Experience with UAV-GC and risk-based contract management is considered a strong advantage.

Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Willingness to travel within the Netherlands; a driver’s license is recommended.
Large Projects Offshore NL is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the Dutch offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in the Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

Your contribution to TenneT
How will you help power the Netherlands? As Sub Project Lead Auxillairy (building related installations, you are responsible for all building-related installations of two onshore HVDC converter stations, each connecting 2 GW of offshore wind energy to the Dutch 380 kV grid. You ensure that your scope is designed and delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with TenneT standards.
In addition, you are responsible for:

Safeguarding safety, quality, planning and risk management – Ensuring compliance with TenneT guidelines and contractual requirements.

Technical coordination and review – Reviewing calculations, drawings and reports, and ensuring third-party engineering meets required standards.

Scope ownership of building-related systems – Acting as the technical point of contact for systems such as low-voltage installations, HVAC, lighting, and fire detection.

Team and stakeholder coordination – Coordinating internal engineering teams and managing interfaces with contractors and suppliers.

Representation of TenneT – Representing TenneT during FATs, engineering reviews and construction meetings.
You will work within the Cluster Eemshaven, part of Large Projects Offshore NL, and collaborate closely with internal project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders. Together, you contribute to the successful realization of the Doordewind Alpha and Beta projects — crucial for the Dutch energy transition.
