We are looking for a senior CI/CD engineer with developer experience to strengthen our growing CI/CD team. As an experienced engineer in this domain you have the drive to innovate, continuously improve, automate and actively engage with the DevOps teams within TenneT to improve and simplify their development workflows to maximise their productivity .

Our mission is to accelerate continuous improvement, repeatability and transparency with a lightning fast CI/CD platform, with high quality built-in, shift security left by design and an energising developer experience. To make all this our new reality we will replace our existing portfolio of self-hosted, on-premise CI/CD tools with a modern CI/CD SaaS platform in public cloud, with on-premise deployments for critical applications within TenneT. We are currently in the midst of selecting and buying the CI/CD SaaS platform and after rollout of this platform this will offer a swift and smooth transition for all development / DevOps teams (approx. 150 developers).
In this role TenneT can offer you a nice challenge in which you can actively contribute to the transition to DevSecOps team and improved Agile way of working.
Where will you work?
TenneT is Europe’s first cross-border grid operator for electricity. With approximately 23,000 kilometres of (extra) high-voltage lines and 42 million end-users in the Netherlands and Germany, we rank among the top five grid operators in Europe.
You will work within our multi-disciplinary CI/CD DevOps team as part of the PaaS department which belongs to BTO Operations.
Working experience with:

CI/CD platforms, tools and familiar with cloud native development

Container orchestration via Kubernetes

Pipeline development for different technology stacks
Experience / solid understanding of:

GitOps way of working

A broad spectrum of CI/CD tools / platform, such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Github and ArgoCD, XLD/XLR, Postgress and or other related open source tools in the development of services

Programming/Scripting languages like Java, Python, Bash

Your contribution to TenneT
You will define, design, develop, build and run cloud native CI/CD platform services and opinionated pipelines that will be:
- available on-demand, through self-service automation for DevOps teams
- fully documented, tested and secure
- high available, disaster resilient
- integrated with infra-as-code / config-as-code automation
- define standardized building blocks, provide suggestions and tools to help development decrease lead time;
- ensure privacy and security are managed;
- support lifecycle management, the SLA of the services, resolve incidents with the rest of the team;
- actively migrate our development / DevOps teams from legacy CI/CD tools to our modern CI/CD SaaS platform;
- help with the 24/7 support rotation;
- work in the Arnhem office one day per week. Remaining work is from the home office.
