Your profile and background

At TenneT, we seek professionals who contribute to the future of our electricity grid. We expect you to bring the right experience and skills to make a valuable contribution to our team and mission.

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to quickly grasp complex issues.
  • Deep knowledge of security tools, technologies, and practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, network security, and identity and access management (IAM) tools.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as ITIL 4, Cobit, ISO 31000, GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CRISC, and CISA are a plus.
  • Completed graduate degree in Information Technology, Information Security, General Security, or Business Administration with demonstrable experience in IT/Information Security Risk Management.
  • Strong social and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a relevant internal and external network to identify trends and translate them to TenneT’s environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for knowledge exchange and coordination.
  • Fluency in English is required; Dutch and/or German are a plus.

Your contribution to TenneT

  • Act as Information Security Officer with focus on Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Cybersecurity awareness for the Business Technology Organisation (BTO).
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in the second line of defense for IT teams regarding cybersecurity.
  • Orchestrate cybersecurity within the unit and support the corporate ISMS using industry best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Continuously review and update security practices to align with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Develop and conduct training and awareness programs for staff on cybersecurity and BCM.
  • Organize operational BCM governance including reporting and meeting structures.
  • Plan and support BCM management activities such as risk assessments, control effectiveness, and reporting.
  • Lead and participate in compliance reviews and internal audits for BCM assurance.
  • Ensure proper definition and communication of BCM controls within the unit.
  • Prepare regular reports on BCM activities, risks, and other security topics for senior management.

BTO will drive security of supply, energy transition, organizational and financial health through digital, data and analytics. BTO will secure solid foundations through seamless end-user services (UX), industry-leading cybersecurity setup and resilient data centers and cloud infrastructure. BTO will have consistent business/BTO alignment, strategic partnerships with vendors and clear standards on architecture, vendor & portfolio management and security. BTO will unlock value of data and digital by building all the necessary enablers (incl. data platform, data governance processes, capabilities) and embedding innovation initiatives into business roadmaps.

  • A salary within scale 9: €4,675 to €9,196 per month, including 8% holiday allowance and 6% year-end bonus.
