Large Projects Netherlands (LPN) is responsible for the major onshore (new construction) projects in the Netherlands. LPN’s project portfolio will triple in the coming years, and we are therefore focusing on standardization, innovation, and digitalization in collaboration with others. Within LPN, we create designs for all 380 kV greenfield projects in the regions of North, Central, West, and South Netherlands.
The role of EMC Engineer falls within the Engineering department. Your formal workplace for this role is in Arnhem at TenneT’s headquarters, but hybrid working is our new normal. Moreover, we have office locations in Gouda and Hoogeveen where we can work.
Our challenge
Imagine: you start in September with a new project for the construction or upgrade of a 380kV high-voltage connection to meet the demand for sufficient transport capacity on the grid. This needs to be built as quickly as possible, but not before the technical design is made. As an EMC Engineer, you are responsible for a technical discipline, in this case, EMC. You get it: a big task and a great responsibility. To achieve our goals, we need you!
An EMC Engineer within TenneT is responsible for EMC issues related to the technical design of the connection, from the basic design to the execution design. Additionally, we focus on the standardization, innovation, and digitalization of the technology (our assets) within LPN. Because we are involved from the beginning to the end of the project, we build up knowledge, and there are sufficient development opportunities for the engineering team.
Your contribution to TenneT
As an EMC Engineer, your main tasks are:
• Supervising/testing EMC engineering activities in accordance with the scope defined by the client and within the set parameters;
• Focusing on quality, performance, and applicable (inter)national standards and guidelines in the field of grounding EMC;
• Acting as the main point of contact and discussion partner for technical issues related to grounding EMC;
• Managing and testing external engineering parties;
• Preparing technical specifications and work packages, ensuring technical compliance, and reviewing calculations, drawings, reports, and analyses from third parties.
