We are looking for a passionate Issue Manager in the Markets division (m/f/d) at our location in Brussels, who will contribute to this and that might be you?
 

Your profile and background

  • Academic Background and Expertise: You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or a comparable field and bring substantial experience in electricity markets and regulation, ideally complemented by insights into other areas of the TSO and energy sectors
  • Analytical Thinking and Communication Skills: You combine strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset and adapt your communication style effectively to suit different audiences
  • Autonomous and Strategic Working Style: You work independently and proactively, focusing on what truly matters while taking a structured approach to complex topics
  • Interpersonal Skills and Flexibility: You are a team player who enjoys collaboration, communicates in a cooperative yet assertive manner, is fluent in English, open to new communication tools, and values the dynamics of an international team environment
  • Location-Specific Requirements: As one of two team members based in Brussels, you are expected to work independently while maintaining a strong professional network
  • International Outlook and Mobility: You are comfortable in a multicultural context and willing to travel when necessary, especially to collaborate with colleagues at the headquarters in Bayreuth, Germany

Your contribution to TenneT

  • Monitor the ENTSO-E Market Committee developments: You stay informed about what is happening in the ENTSO-E Market Committee, you identify priorities, prepare MC meetings for the TenneT MC representative, and you coordinate written voting procedures. You keep close contact with colleagues and gather and condense information so as to ensure that TenneT representatives are well briefed and are able to contribute effectively
  • Support high-level decision-making: With this knowledge, you contribute to the preparation of ENTSO-E Board and Assembly meetings using established routines and support the coordination of cross-departmental European topics, with assistance from students or other team members as needed
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration: You work with colleagues dealing with other ENTSO-E areas (e.g. System Operations, System Development, IT, R&D) on cross-cutting topics and help integrate new subjects into internal tools and data systems
  • Stay connected to regulatory practice: You are willing to actively participate in an international working group relevant to your area of expertise, maintaining a practical link to operational regulatory work
  • Contribute to strategic projects: You support studies and initiatives as part of your involvement in project-based work

This will be our challenge

The Unit "Regulatory Affairs" is responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and communication with regulatory authorities in Germany and Europe. As Single Point of Contact (SPoC), Regulatory Affairs coordinates all regulatory matters, fosters trustful relationships, develops intelligent and flexible regulatory concepts, and supports innovations for a sustainable energy system.

  • The position requires a regular willingness to travel (several times per month), depending on the respective requirements (driving licence class B is required)
