As a Systems Engineer in our division Large Project Offshore Netherlands within the portfolio Petrofac Hitachi, you’ll play a key role in realizing Europe’s ambitious offshore energy goals. You’ll be part of a dynamic and international team Project Management Office (PMO) working on a portfolio of six 2GW HVDC platform projects—each critical to building a reliable and future-proof electricity grid and playing a key role in this vital challenge.

Your contribution to TenneT

As Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Systems Engineering (SE) within the Petrofac Hitachi (PHE) portfolio. SE is a new approach for TenneT and its contractors, and your role is pivotal in embedding this methodology during the execution phase of our projects.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the SE Manager with the implementation of Systems Engineering
  • Reviewing SE plans, tools, and deliverables to assess quality and alignment
  • Coaching and educating project team members on SE tasks and tooling
  • Facilitating requirements and configuration management across the PHE portfolio
  • Aligning SE processes with quality management activities such as inspections, testing, commissioning, and validation
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, including consortium contractors. The wider project team consists of around 60 (technical) professionals, while your direct young and dynamic PMO team includes 15 professional colleagues from different nationalities and backgrounds, each with focus on his/her own discipline. With English as the project’s working language, you’ll be part of an international environment. The working atmosphere is open, collaborative, and supportive—with plenty of room to grow, learn, and make your mark.
