Enterprise Architect
Your profile and background
- 10+ years of experience in a similar function, preferably you have done this before. Having business (TSO/Utilities/Infra asset) understanding is a big plus;
- The ability to align technology with TenneT's long-term business goals, anticipating future needs and driving digital transformation while ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency in power distribution;
- A strong understanding of both IT and operational technology, especially in areas like grid management systems, SCADA, and automation, energy market management systems, to ensure seamless integration of technologies that support operating the electricity grid;
- Experience with leading the enterprise architecture design of strategic technical programs like replacement of EMS/SCADA systems;
- Ability to steer IT Architects in the domain functionally;
- Proficiency in managing relationships with senior stakeholders on different levels, ensuring alignment on key initiatives, and handling escalations effectively to maintain project momentum and resolve critical issues promptly;
- A strong focus on working within the broader energy ecosystem (representing TenneT), including building reference architectures, and fostering partnerships with Distribution System Operators (DSOs) and other (national and international) stakeholders to ensure interoperability, alignment, and innovation across the power grid network;
- Good communication and presentation skills in English. Fluent in German and/or Dutch is an advantage.
Your contribution to TenneT
As an Enterprise Architect, you take ownership of your responsibilities, have the courage to make decisions, and are able to connect with various stakeholders at different levels both within and outside the organization. You translate the organization's strategy and vision into practical, executable architectures and ensure that these are effectively implemented. You play a crucial role in convincing other architects to realize the set architecture goals. You present a clear vision and have a strong opinion, both internally and in discussions with external parties. In the market, you take a prominent role and demonstrate courage in defending TenneT's interests. You know how to set the right course while always keeping the organization's long-term interests in mind.
This architecture function is in the Business Technology Organization (BTO) of TenneT. You work within the Enterprise Architecture team (+/- 10 FTE) of the BTO-Office. In addition, you work together with BTO’s IT architects and domain head and leads to evolve and continuously improve the Systems and Markets architecture standards and overall architecture landscape. You are the contact person for senior leadership regarding all systems and markets topics and required architecture decisions.

- A permanent contract with a two-month probation period, based on 40 hours per week.
- A competitive salary in scale 18: maximum €10.831 per month (based on 40 hours), with 8% holiday allowance, 6% year-end bonus, and 70% pension contribution.
