At TenneT, we work every day on tomorrow’s electricity grid. Our goal? A reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy system. As a Strategic Planner you play a crucial role in realizing this ambition. Ready to make an impact?

Your profile and background

We are looking for an analytical and communicative planner who enjoys working in complex project environments and who takes pride in creating structure and clarity. You are proactive, cooperative, and continuously looking for ways to improve processes.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO level).

  • Relevant experience in planning large, complex infrastructure projects, ideally using Oracle Primavera P6.

  • Experience with Power BI and/or Microsoft Project (MSP) is a plus.

  • Hands-on mentality with excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Natural ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and navigate differing interests effectively.

  • Proactive, collaborative, and improvement-oriented mindset.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Your contribution to TenneT

TenneT is growing rapidly to realize its strategic ambitions and plays a leading role in the energy transition. Within the business unit Large Projects Offshore Netherlands (LON), we connect offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the mainland grid through innovative HVDC platforms and converter stations. Over the next decade, a massive amount of renewable energy needs to be connected to meet national and European climate goals.

As a Strategic Planner, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining integrated project schedules for our large-scale offshore grid connection systems. You will help ensure that our ambitious offshore projects are delivered efficiently, transparently, and on time.

Your responsibilities

As Strategic Planner, you will be responsible for setting up and managing clear, integrated schedules that provide insight and alignment across all workstreams. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the project runs smoothly from start to finish. Your main tasks include:

  • Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule based on input from external parties and internal workstreams.

  • Ensure an efficient schedule updating and progress reporting process.

  • Review schedules from internal and external parties, checking compliance with requirements, identifying bottlenecks, and advising on corrective actions.

  • Support project teams with overall planning and ensure that teams are “schedule aware”; regularly communicate planning changes to the teams.

  • Organize and facilitate interactive planning workshops to align stakeholders and improve cooperation.

  • Contribute to the development of working methods and improvements in the planning process.

  • Collaborate with risk managers and stakeholders to identify planning risks, implement mitigation measures, develop probabilistic schedules, and ensure proper documentation.

Your work will ensure that our projects maintain clear direction, effective coordination, and on-time delivery — essential to powering the energy transition.
