• Bachelor’s or Master’s level education, preferably in safety management or technical disciplines
- HVK, NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
• Experience with HSE management in offshore or complex project environments
• Advanced knowledge of legislation, process safety, and change management, and the ability to translate this knowledge into policies and processes.
• Ability to develop and implement practical plans based on data, recommendations, user needs, and risk analyses.
• Open mindset with strong communication skills and persuasive ability in a multicultural and multidisciplinary work environment.
• Willingness to occasionaly travel

Your contribution to TenneT
Impact and purpose of the role
As HSE Business Partner Offshore, you are the point of contact and responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and processes within our offshore activities. You advise project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on legislation and regulations, conduct audits and inspections, and ensure that all safety and health aspects are embedded in our projects.
You will work within the Grid Connection System delivery 1 department for Cluster Geertruidenberg and report directly to the Project Director.
As HSE Business Partner Offshore, you are responsible for:
• Demonstrating broad and/or deep expertise in your field, with advanced knowledge of legislation, safety management, safety culture, and change management.
• Leveraging an active network of stakeholders at a tactical level, knowing how and when to involve and influence the right parties.
• Providing direction for HSE policy and standards and ensuring consistency within the TenneT organization, while translating these to contractors.
• Translating external developments in the HSE domain into internal improvements for a safe working environment.
• Leading complex, internationally oriented projects with cross-domain collaboration and high internal and external visibility.
• Advising on HSE policy, compliance, and contractual obligations.
• Developing and implementing HSE documentation and protocols.
• Conducting HSE audits, site inspections, and follow-up on improvement measures.
• Preparing and reviewing HSE requirements for contractors.
• Performing risk assessments, safety studies, and incident analyses.
Results and KPI’s
You translate HSE objectives into concrete actions and measurable results. Through your efforts, risks are minimized, and your Offshore Cluster contributes to a safe working environment within the Offshore division.
Organizational context
You will work in the Offshore Division within the Cluster Geertruidenberg, collaborating to build a future-proof electricity grid and a culture where safety and health are central.

Additional information
- A 1 year contract for 32 - 40 hours per week with the intention to become a permanent employee at TenneT
- A base salary in scale 9: € 4.816,- and € 9.472,- per month (based on 40 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance, 6% year-end bonus, and 70% pension contribution
- 43 vacation days per year (based on a full-time basis)
