Your profile and background

  • Working and thinking at HBO level or higher in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in SAP (S/4HANA) including a solid track record in configuring master data, managing work orders, and optimizing maintenance processes within complex asset-heavy environments.
  • Competent with data analysis and reporting and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in IT/OT environments combined with knowledge of auxiliary systems.
  • Knowledge of asset management principles and offshore maintenance workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, job plans, and asset data.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Competent in maintaining excellent relationships with offshore field service engineers.
  • Experience in technical or infrastructure-related environments is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written. Fluent in Dutch is a plus.

Your contribution to TenneT

How will you help power the Netherlands? As a Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for developing and optimizing maintenance engineering plans that enable reliable execution of recurring maintenance across TenneT’s Dutch grid Offshore Platforms. Your work supports a sustainable and efficient energy system. In addition, you are responsible for:

Maintenance Planning

  • Develop and implement maintenance engineering plans based on maintenance concepts and asset strategies.
  • Generate monitor and manage preventive maintenance work orders and associated or related activity lists.
  • Create year plans and cost forecasts for cyclic work and investments.
  • Update plans based on conflicts between critical maintenance activities in collaboration with operations.
  • Ensure maintenance plans and task structures are adapted to offshore operational constraints, including logistics, accessibility, and execution windows
  • Clarifiy proactive responsibilities and establish strict safety standards in all maintenance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct lessons learned sessions and integrate insights into planning processes.
  • Support continuous development and optimization of maintenance strategies, concepts, and repair planning.
  • Analyze and create forecasts based on previous maintenance campaigns, and coordinate change request to the maintenance plans.
  • Ensure compliance with TenneT’s Safety Leadership mindset and safety, health and environmental policies, practices and procedures of TenneT.
  • Support data-driven maintenance improvement using SAP data, reporting tools and monitoring insights.
  • Supplying critical expertise from the constantly changing EU legislation regarding offshore business.


 
Operational Support & Data Management

  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPoC) for maintenance-related inquiries.
  • Ensure adherence to TenneT's maintenance standards and cycles.
  • Own SAP (S/4HANA) structuring while acting as the key expert for optimizing maintenance processes, supporting process optimization and digital maintenance solutions.

    You will be part of the Maintenance Engineering team, within the Offshore Netherlands division (OFN). The team works closely with Asset Management, Technical Specialists, Operations and Maintenance Execution Areas to ensure effective and reliable maintenance practices.

This will be our challenge

Offshore is responsible for the development, construction, and management of the offshore electricity grid. With the North Sea as the green engine of the energy transition, Offshore plays a clear and vital role within TenneT’s organisational structure.

The Offshore division manages the entire lifecycle of all TenneT offshore installations, from development and realisation to maintenance and handover to the Operate division. A crucial task is the construction of 2 GW offshore ‘sockets’, which collect and transport generated wind energy to the mainland.

We offer:

  • A permanent contract with a two-month probationary period or 1 year contract with the intention for a permanent contract based on a 40-hour work week.
  • A salary in grade 8, ranging from €4,276 to €8,443 per month, plus 8% holiday allowance and a 6% year-end bonus.
  • A solid pension scheme via ABP, with TenneT covering 70% of the premium.
  • 43 vacation days per year.
All employment conditions mentioned apply to a full-time contract unless stated otherwise.
