Your profile and background

  • Qualification: This position requires a relevant university degree in Business Administration, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
  • Professional Experience: Comprehensive background in the Energy and Technology sectors (Oil or Gas Sector), dealing with complex business cases and managing teams across different locations
  • Leadership Competence: Proven track record in leading organizations, developing and coaching future leaders, and actively driving diversity within teams
  • Inspiration: Act as a motivating leader by aligning and mobilizing all community members around Vision, Mission & Ambitions, while fostering a high-performance culture based on strong team cohesion, solution orientation, and output-driven working methods
  • Effective Management: Apply management functions and systems (organizing, planning, controlling, staffing, directing) to ensure sustainable business performance and continuous development
  • Active Engagement: Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at Senior Management level; influence perspectives and decisions by understanding stakeholder interests and processes, and create win-win solutions accordingly

Your contribution to TenneT

  • Leadership: Leading the Asset Management Offshore & HVDC department with around 40 members (7 direct reports), focusing on business alignment, team mobilization, and people development
  • Lifecycle Management: Managing TenneT’s Offshore & HVDC Asset Portfolio (DC Transmission Grid) across the full lifecycle – from acquisition to disposal – with strong emphasis on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Defining system standards and optimizing cost, quality, risk, and sustainability
  • Policy & Strategy: Developing and implementing the Asset Management Policy and Strategy to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Strategic Planning: Creating Strategic Asset Management Plans in close collaboration with other TenneT Units
  • Performance Management: Setting asset performance targets and standards, monitoring and analyzing asset performance, and implementing measures to optimize asset outcomes

This will be our challenge

Our unit Asset Management & Technology takes a decisive role within TenneT’s business governance, operationalizing and implementing TenneT’s business strategy. In this context, the department Asset Lifecycle Management Offshore & HVDC defines Offshore & HVDC Transmission Grid standards and develops and implements Strategic Asset Management Plans, based on technical risk management, O&M strategies, asset performance monitoring and technology innovations.
