As Systems Engineer you will be working on an important and innovative element of Europe’s ambitious offshore energy goals. The Portfolio Petrofac Hitachi (PHE) is implementing the systems engineering (SE) approach.
Applying Systems Engineering is a new way of working for TenneT and her (sub) contractors. Your goal is to make sure SE related tasks and responsibilities in the SE approach will be part of everyone’s daily work in the project.
You will therefore concentrate on the project execution phase (main contracts are awarded to the consortium contractor Petrofac Hitachi) and will ensure that the approach is implemented, applied and improved.
Tasks:
- Take the lead in implementing the SE approach (execution phase) in the project by educating team members and actively coaching, checking the application of the approach on process and product level.
- Implementing the SE approach with contractors by assessing capabilities and where necessary improve by coaching, training or otherwise.
- Implementing risk based contract management together with relevant disciplines.
- Alignment with knowledge areas quality, risk, schedule and information management.
- First contact point for project leads, sub project leads, technical specialist and related contractors on SE topics.
- Organizes, plans and manages SE resources to support project related SE activities, SE reviews (internal and external) in the project.
Your profile and background
- 5+ years of experience in applying Systems Engineering during design and execution phase (senior level).
- Able to perform coaching the team in new way of working (change management).
- Experience with Relatics, change- and project management.
- Knowledge of and experience with applying ISO 15288.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence at all levels within an international organization.
- Able to create and think on strategic level, but also to implement on practical level.
- Experience in delivering in a fast moving and challenging environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, in addition communication skills in Dutch are preferred.
- Willingness to work two days a week in Arnhem, also to work hybrid and to travel, at least once a month.
- Living in the Netherlands.
