Business Development and Consulting Manager
Your profile and background
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, however Master’s degree preferred in a technical and/or financial field
- At least 5 years of strategy (in-house) consulting experience including 2-3 years of M&A related experience with a track record of successfully delivering initiatives and M&A transactions
- Strategic and hands-on mentality with the ability to facilitate and lead complex discussions and deliver business impact
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including root cause analysis and hypothesis development
- Preferably corporate finance experience
- Proficiency in fostering cross-functional and cross-hierarchical collaboration
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills in English
- Medium knowledge in Dutch is beneficial.

Your contribution to TenneT
The Business Development and Consulting Team works closely with stakeholders at all levels and is active in the field of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic business consulting, feasibility studies and development of knowledge/portfolio in the field of new technologies and innovation. It accelerates strategic topics and directly contributes to TenneT’s goals by translating strategy into implementation in a fast-paced environment.
- Work closely with the executive board/senior leaders to understand and structure complex strategic problems, develop initiatives, and implement projects supported by solid communication strategies
- Lead and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver creative, innovative and actionable solutions based on solid business cases while ensuring alignment with TenneT’s strategic goals
- Address challenges, use and adapt change approaches, tools, and engagement formats (such as workshops) based on stakeholder feedback and organizational needs
- Supervise and coordinate M&A processes from initiation to completion, incl. ensuring excellent due diligence and making independent well-founded valuations.
- Conduct feasibility assessment of new technologies and translating these into business opportunities
- Act as the shareholder representative for TenneT Germany and various regulated and non-regulated subsidiaries of TenneT Holding, on behalf of the CFO of TenneT Holding.

- A permanent contract with two months probation period.
- A salary in scale 9: €4.675,- to € 9.196,- per month, with 8% holiday allowance, 6% year-end bonus, and 70% pension contribution.
