Your profile and background

At TenneT, we seek professionals who contribute to the future of our electricity grid. We expect you to bring the right experience and skills to make a valuable impact on our team and mission. What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven senior work experience as a Power BI Developer or Business Intelligence Analyst, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization design.
  • Experience in working with large datasets and performing complex data analyses.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and other data manipulation tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI, are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate is an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP’s reporting solutions (AfO, BO) is a plus.
  • Fluency in Dutch and professional proficiency in English.

Your contribution to TenneT

As a Senior Power BI Specialist, you are responsible for transforming raw financial data into reports and data products, ensuring the Netherlands can rely on reliable and sustainable energy. Additionally, you are responsible for:

  • Dashboard Development: Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to accurately and efficiently visualize financial data.
  • Dimensional Modelling: Utilizing data from the TenneT Data Platform, sometimes combined with other data sources, systems, databases, and spreadsheets, to create comprehensive data models for reporting purposes.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimizing Power BI reports and queries to enhance performance and scalability, ensuring smooth operation with large datasets.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting thorough testing and validation of reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation: Creating detailed documentation for developed reports, including data sources, transformations, and calculations, to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain data integrity.
  • Training and Support: Providing training and support to end-users on Power BI functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques to maximize adoption across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data visualization and analytics to drive continuous improvement in reporting capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues in the DAP team to achieve shared goals.
