Large Projects Offshore (LPO) is the department responsible for the realization of new offshore grid connections in Germany and the Netherlands. You will become Lead Site Management of the Hitachi/Petrofac platform portfolio of several off-shore platforms within the 2GW Organization of LPO.
You are responsible for a site team in an internationally located construction site in Malaysia. Your project team is responsible for day-to-day quality assurance and site supervision within the respective yard. Your team consists of approx. up to 10 FTEs working full-time in the project and additional staff from other departments and / or contractors.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Contributing actively to a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and contractors;
- Organizing a team in an international yard environment and performing regular site surveys for quality assurance purposes;
- Contributing to the standardization of project management approach and optimization of synergies between several HVDC-systems and off-shore platforms;
- Ensuring quality and compliance standards are met and result-oriented completion of assigned activities incl. local country requirements;
- Aligning with experts and teams within Large Projects Offshore and various other departments within TenneT and taking into account lessons learned from other large projects;
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, requirements and goals set for HSE, time, risk, quality and the framework of TenneT's corporate manuals and guidelines;

- Ensuring implementation and continuous improvement of processes, tools and culture being organizational standards.
Perform people management & develop talents
- You set up, staff and (hierarchically) lead an efficient dedicated team, focusing on realizing the project goals and ambitions as well as TenneT's broader goals;
- You coach, inspire and actively develop employees and you align proactively hereto with other projects and line management;
- You foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within LPO and the 2GW departments;
- You ensure that team members have the necessary skills, training and resources to perform their roles effectively.
Your profile and background
You are a manager with strong technical and leadership skills. You are a natural, servant leader who can inspire teams. You are familiar with managing big infrastructure projects, especially also with offshore experience. You are preferably IPMA D certified or open to obtain.
Furthermore:
- You have preferably a Technical Master degree and an academic level in thinking and working
- You are dynamic, enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated without 'nine to five-mentality’
- You have at least 3+ years of experience in a comparable job
- You are fluent in English , additional languages are a advantage
You are willing to work abroad in a yard location environment ( Malaysia) for an extended period of time.

Large Projects Offshore plays a key role in the energy transition. The department is responsible for the current and future further development of the entire offshore grid and thus for the development and implementation of the DC interconnectors and the offshore wind farm grid connection in the German and Dutch area of the North Sea.
Your contribution to TenneT
You support TenneT by leading a site team as part of a portfolio with a focus on offshore-stations within the 2GW Organization of LPO. You will solve upcoming challenges in a partnership approach together with the respective contractor. You show a strong external orientation, show passion and energy, and build trust and partnerships.1, 4
You will be responsible that all site-specific tasks are realised in a safe and timely manner and within quality requirements. This means that you are the person leading the project team by acting as a role model for TenneT's core values Courage, Connection and Ownership and for safe execution of the project at the lowest total costs possible.

- Track record and knowledge of the different tasks in the project management and phases within big infrastructure projects;
- Legal basics for safeguarding the contractual position of TenneT for the scope, which is executed by different contractors;
- Strong communication skills for managing relevant stakeholders in an international environment;
Preferably experience with site management (in Asia)
