Your profile and background

  • Enthusiastic learner with a BSc background in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Eagerness to understand the dynamics of managing infrastructure projects
  • Basic technical knowledge and a keen interest in LV distribution systems
  • Developing communication and cooperation skills

  • Openness to occasional international business trips
  • Excellent in both Dutch and English
 

Your contribution to TenneT

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you'll assist in supervising the Stations (HVDC) contractor, learning the intricacies of delivering the Auxiliary Power system, Converter Cooling System, Earthing and Bonding, and EMC. Your focus on understanding TenneT requirements, contractual obligations, and regulations will set the foundation for your growth.

Simultaneously, you'll gain exposure to overseeing engineering, installation, and commissioning activities by the Civil contractor, ensuring you contribute to a synchronized interface process between Stations and Civil scope.

Your Learning Mission:

  • Absorb the goals of the overarching 2 GW program
  • Contribute to the coordination of the HVDC Auxiliary systems sub-project
  • Provide support to the Project Lead HVDC, learning the ropes of reporting and insights

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn to manage the sub-project Auxiliary systems, aligning with goals, requirements, and contractual specifications
  • Observe the planning of project execution, expertise evaluation, and team management
  • Assist in motivating the consortium/contractor to deliver quality within agreed timelines
  • Learn to act as a point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating smooth communication
  • Gain insights into ensuring timely ordering and delivery of supplies, identifying interfaces for coordination
  • Contribute to providing necessary information for scheduling, document management, and risk management
  • Observe and absorb the culture of active contribution to a safe working environment
  • Shadow collaboration with experts and teams, learning from lessons from previous large projects
