Your profile and background

You are a team player. You are capable of managing your own role within the team and building/maintaining good relationships within the project team and with our contractors. You have the confidence to speak up when needed and are a good negotiator.

You also have:

  • Bachelor or Master level of education, preferably in a legal, technical or commercial field;
  • At least 7 years of experience as a contract manager or similar experience with contract and claim management;
  • Good knowledge of FIDIC Silver;
  • Experience with complex projects, preferably in offshore, from the procurement phase up to and including the commissioning phase;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Flexibility and the willingness to travel;

Your contribution to TenneT

As a contract manager, you will actively support the portfolio in the realisation of TenneT's offshore platforms, during the execution phase up to the commissioning.

  • In this role, you proactively manage the contractual obligations, risks and objectives of the contracts in the procurement, execution and commissioning phase of the project;
  • You will manage the progress of the contracts and oversee the established milestones, finances, actions and outstanding contract issues, including claims;
  • You will be responsible for the process of contract amendments, the determination, drafting and handling of variation orders and claims and, where necessary, you will negotiate these with the contractor;
  • You will help determine the contract strategy for future projects;
  • You will raise the level of contract knowledge in the project teams;
  • You will work closely with the project team, your other contract manager colleagues and other departments like Procurement and Legal.

Supply Chain Management supports TenneT's activities by determining which goods and services are required to realize projects and maintenance work. We also structure and cover these needs. We serve TenneT's internal customers and ensures better cooperation with our external suppliers.

What we offer:
  • A permanent contract with a 2 months trial period for 32 - 40 hours per week 
  • A base salary in scale 9: € 4.816,- and € 9.472,- per month (based on 40 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance, 6% year-end bonus, and 70% pension contribution
  • 43 vacation days per year (based on a full-time basis)
