What do you bring?
  • Technical Expertise: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. You have proven experience as a Power BI Developer focused on dashboard design and development.
  • Data & Visualization Skills: You understand data modeling concepts and visualization best practices. You’re familiar with Microsoft Fabric and Relatics integrations.
  • Communication & Collaboration: You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and you can translate business needs into clear insights. You communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key competencies:
  • Detail-Oriented & Insightful: You simplify complex data sets and design dashboards that are both accurate and intuitive.
  • Stakeholder-Focused: You collaborate closely with users, gather feedback, and iterate to meet expectations.
  • Proactive & Supportive: You provide training and support, ensuring users get the most out of the dashboards you create.
Fluency in English is required. Dutch language skills or a willingness to learn are preferred.

Your contribution to TenneT

As a Power BI Expert – Dashboard Specialist, you will play a key role in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll design and develop interactive dashboards that support decision-making across our organization, interfacing with various data sources and collaborating closely with stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities include:
  • Dashboard Development: Design and build interactive dashboards using Power BI, integrating data from databases, APIs, and Excel files to support business needs.
  • Data Modeling: Cleanse, reshape, and unify data from multiple sources to ensure optimal performance, usability, and consistency across dashboards.
  • Visualization Design & Optimization: Create intuitive and visually compelling dashboards that communicate key metrics and trends, while applying best practices to ensure fast-loading and seamless interactivity.
  • Data Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration: Analyze business data, identify patterns, and provide actionable recommendations. Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and iterate on dashboard designs.
  • Training, Support & Documentation: Guide users in navigating dashboards, provide troubleshooting support, and maintain clear documentation of dashboard requirements, design decisions, and data sources.
You’ll be part of the department Large Project Offshore Netherlands, Project Management Office, Information Management team, consisting of 30 enthusiastic professionals with diverse expertise such as in data management and IT. You’ll work closely with an experienced Power BI colleague and collaborate with project teams to gather needs, as well as with the Business Technology Organisation (BTO) for technical alignment.
Work location: Arnhem (Rijnpoort), with hybrid working options.

This will be our challenge

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

A salary in scale 7: €4.088 to €7.230 per month
