- Relevant HBO/WO education (NL) vocational training in business administration with advanced qualification in controlling, or an university degree in finance / business administration (or relevant).
- You have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in large projects and project-related work processes.
- Experience in renewable energy is an advantage.
- Profound knowledge of FIDIC and auditing.
- Personal skills are very important for this role: you have great analytic skills, you are a self-starter, challenger (hard on the content, soft on the relation), can abstract complex matters to the essence of what is required, have a great feeling for organising complex processes, have a can do mentality paired with a strong drive to solve and work through topics and have the natural ability to liaise in an effective way with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to bridge (conflicting) interests.
- Good skills in working with ERP systems and MS-Office (reporting tools). Experience SAP is an advantage.
- Business-fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English, articulate in verbal and written communication.
- Willingness to travel (to Singapore / Indonesia): 1 – 2 x per quarter
Your contribution to TenneT
How do you keep the Netherlands powered? As a Finance Project Controller, you are responsible for the set up, monitoring and follow up – including up to date reporting - of the budget control process / project controls on the subcontracted scope of our Contractor (so called Cost+ scope). Furthermore you co-steer, together with responsible (Sub) Project Lead, and keep the subcontracted scope under control (EUR, time, quality).
Additionally you will be responsible for:
- Perform planning, monitoring, realization tracking, analysis and calculations of the financials in the cluster (focus on subcontracted scope), including review and challenge of business cases and detailed budgeting.
- Align with Contractor on budget, actuals and forecast.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies (IFRS and regulatory Framework) & project governance procedures (e.g. TenneT’s Corporate Investment Manual).
- Identify, monitor and mitigate financial risks (and opportunities) in close cooperation with the team members: especially SPL responsible for T&I; procurement lead and cost engineer.
- Active collaboration with the Finance Project Lead (based in Singapore), FPC and Financial Project Accountant (FPA).
- Active collaboration with the other FPCs and FPAs of peer portfolios.
In TenneT Large Offshore Projects Netherlands, we are working together to realize the energy transition by the realization of offshore wind connections in the Dutch North Sea. In this role, you will work within a team of approximately 70 professionals responsible for delivering three grid connection systems: IJmuiden Ver Beta, IJmuiden Ver Gamma and Nederwiek Beta.
Within TenneT, we work with the four eyes principle, which implies that the project organization is divided into a project organization (mainly technical) and project commercial/financial organization. You will work in the financial/commercial part of the project consisting of 4 finance colleagues directly in the team reporting to the Financial Project Director and 8 colleagues in other commercial roles such as: contract managers, risk manager, cost engineer, legal advisor, procurement support / lead, functionally reporting to the Financial Project Director. Close cooperation within the team and the other financial/commercial teams is essential.
In this role, you act a as financial business partner for the IJmuiden Ver projects and its leads, which comprise of three 2GW offshore projects combined in the ‘ Maasvlakte’ cluster: IJmuiden Ver Beta, IJmuiden Ver Gamma and Nederwiek 2.
