Your contribution to TenneT
TenneT Corporate Security Office
The Corporate Security Office is a department that is placed directly under the Director of the Business Technology Organisation (BTO), whereby the Corporate Security Officer (CSO/CISO) has an independent reporting line to the COO of the TenneT Executive Board.
Within TenneT we make a distinction between the governance of security management, business continuity management (BCM) and crisis management on the one hand, and its execution on the other, organized in a multi-line of defense model.
The governance function (second line) is performed by the Corporate Security Office (CSO) and focuses on directing and monitoring security, BCM and crisis management from a management perspective. This is about the organisation of these management disciplines (‘who does what’) and the oversight of actual performance (is the 'what' good enough). The execution function (first line) is focusing on how we implement and execute security, BCM and crisis management controls within the organisation. These aspects are organised within the respective business units.
Security is organised within an Integrated Security Management System (ISMS) which reflects the division of responsibilities and the way of working for security with a tight coupling to our ‘all hazard’ BCM and crisis management capabilities. The term 'Integrated’ in our ISMS reflects the holistic approach on security where next to information/cyber security also physical and personnel security are integrated into this management system.
