Within this context, the Data, Analytics, and Process Excellence (DAP) team in BGN plays a leading role. The team develops high-quality, trusted data assets and analytics to enhance operational efficiency, accelerate digital transformation, and lead initiatives promoting a data-driven culture through innovative technology and processes. As a Senior Power BI Specialist within the DAP team, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw financial data into reports and data products. Your expertise in Power BI will drive the development of dynamic reports and dashboards that enable effective financial decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver innovative solutions that optimize financial performance.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Power BI Specialist at TenneT:
- Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to accurately and efficiently visualize financial data.
- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data quality analyses to identify anomalies and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders based on findings.
- Dimensional Modelling: use data from the TenneT Data Platform, sometimes combined with other data sources, systems, databases and spreadsheets, to create comprehensive datamodels for reporting purposes.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports and queries to enhance performance and scalability, ensuring smooth operation with large datasets.
- Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing and validation of reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation for developed reports, including data sources, transformations, and calculations, to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain data integrity.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques to maximize adoption across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data visualization and analytics to drive continuous improvement in reporting capabilities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the DAP team to achieve shared goals.
Your profile and background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Business Intelligence Analyst, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization design.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with large datasets and performing complex data analyses.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and other data manipulation tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI, are a plus.
- Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP’s reporting solutions (AfO, BO) is a plus.
- Fluency in Dutch and professional proficiency in English.
