Your contribution to TenneT
As technical specialist you are responsible for the provision of expertise to seabed surveys and uxo clearance operations at sea. In close collaboration with your colleagues you ensure smooth and successful cable and platform installations in TenneT’s 2GW program.
- In this role you provide technical expertise for geophysical and geotechnical surveys, UXO surveys, and UXO identification and clearance works in the Dutch offshore projects.
- You are focusing on the geotechnical investigations for the
- You ensure and check project documentation, data quality, and monitor changes to plans in all project phases
- You act as technical support in tendering, negotiating and contracting in the field of offshore survey and explosive ordnance clearance
- You coordinate and brief client representatives, control the works on site on the vessel or local site offices, as well as cooperate closely with all companies involved in a project on technical level
- You support the project management for cable installation with expertise on the ground (burial assessment) and in the documentation of post installations surveys, as well as final as laid documentation
Your profile and background
- This position requires an academic working and thinking level and a relevant university degree (Master/Bachelor) in survey or geology. Alternatively you have a comparable qualification.
- You have profound working experience in the field of offshore survey, preferably offshore installtions, offshore experience, and offshore aptitude.
- You have sound experience with ArcGIS or equivalent geographic information systems, preferably also AutoCAD.
- You show independence, initiative, and the ability to work in a team. This is for you just as natural as strong communication skills and very good English skills. Dutch language skills are an big advantage.
- You are willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license.
- You live in the Netherlands

The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.
