The Enterprise Architecture function is in the Business Technology Organization (BTO) of TenneT.
You work within the Enterprise Architecture team of the BT-Office. In addition, you work together with BTO’s IT Architects and Domain Head to evolve on and continuously improve the Digital & Data architecture standards and overall architecture landscape. We need integrated architecture combined with end-to-end process focus to improve the solid foundation of Processes, Data, Applications and Information Technology.
You are the contact person for senior leadership regarding all Digital & Data related topics and required decisions.
We are looking for someone that:
• Takes ownership of the digital & data domain, the process and products,
• Shows courage and stands for his/her vision, gets people on board by steering from their beliefs,
• Actively connects with all stakeholders, he/she collaborates with business, external suppliers, IT architects, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure a shared architectural vision. He/she is especially strong in organizing and mobilizing the organization to reach that joint vision.
Besides this, you:
• Actively contribute to the development, assessment, and realization of the Enterprise Architecture and the Enterprise Architecture Governance
• Establish principles, governance and guidance for maturing our data & digital capability
• Develop and implement the enterprise-wide data & digital architecture and framework, aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Provide architectural oversight within the data & digital domain, and across the other architecture domains (asset management, systems & markets, operations and enabling) where data & digital is a crucial capability
• Develop the roadmap, and outline how this target architecture is realized
• Set expectations for quality, consistency, and delivery, ensuring that those standards are met and improved over time
• Monitor implementation of key data management projects, including data lakes, data governance, and data quality frameworks, and ensuring proper escalation and reporting to senior management stakeholders
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in data and digital, assessing their potential value and relevance for TenneT

Your background and profile
• 10+ years of experience in a similar function, preferably you have done this before. Having business (TSO/Utilities/Infra asset) understanding is a big plus.
• Strong experience in leadership roles, focusing on architectural solutions for strategic importance. You negotiate support for difficult decisions, anticipate problems, and ensure that credibility and trust are uncompromised.
• Strong experience with IT/OT data, data modelling, analytics, data lakes and related solutions, data governance, data management, master data management, and application and data integration
• Ability to motivate stakeholders to fit Digital and Data architecture into the company’s strategy. You do this by inspiration rather than through direct authority
• Capable to functionally guide the IT Architects in the domain
• Good communication and presentation skills in English. Fluent in German and/or Dutch is an advantage
