We are looking for an enthusiastic and eager to travel electrical engineer who would loves to join one of our project teams of the Large Projects Offshore (LPO) department based in Arnhem. These project teams are building several of offshore substations under an EPCI contract.
You will have experience with electrical systems in an offshore or shipbuilding environment and are familiar with electrical equipment’s design and electrical calculations. The position requires the ability to work closely with technical specialists and a site team throughout all phases of the project, from the design phase up to the handover of the offshore substation to the operations department. You will be responsible for supervising the delivery of all offshore auxiliary platform systems in the Electrical discipline in accordance with all relevant TenneT requirements and contractual obligations.
Furthermore you will support realization of the goals of TenneT’s overarching 2 GW program and coordinate and cooperate closely with the overall project team and is responsible for the achievement of the goals for his scope (including SHE, time, quality and costs).
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- The scope includes multiple platforms constructed by the same EPCI contractor, and LV Electrical systems on the platforms include Auxiliary Transformers, LV Switchgears, Distribution boards, LV cables, LV Bus duct, LV cable routing system, UPS & Battery system, Nav AIDS, DC distribution system, Platform Lighting and earthing system.
- Be present at the (sub)contractor’s location, following closely on engineering, manufacturing, testing & commissioning developments, also abroad in Europe and/or Asia.
- Be responsible and support for the implementation of employer’s requirements for a subset of ELE-related systems as well as any relevant interfaces. Explain & elaborate the employer’s requirements to the contractor.
- Review contractor issued docs in terms of requirement verification as well as overall design specification.
- Review of electrical package Quality plan documents and involving in inspection and assisting in FAT / SAT / HAT of LV Electrical equipment’s.
Your profile and background
To be successful you have excellent communication, cooperation, and influencing skills, are persuasive, sensitive and capable of balanced judgment, and have a dynamic, enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated and committed attitude. You are a strong problem-solver with analytical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Furthermore:
- Electrical background or equivalent (BSc. degree or higher).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical engineering, with a focus on Low Voltage systems.
- Proficiency in ETAP, Auto CAD, 3D model review, Navisworks.
- Willingness to travel frequently abroad, within Europe and Asia (up to 20% of the time).
- You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Speaking Dutch is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Driving license.
