Your contribution to TenneT
As Large Project Offshore department, we are contributing to an unprecedented transformation in the energy sector. This means scaling up the offshore capacity by realizing multiple 2GW grid connection systems, in a relatively short amount of time. A dedicated 2GW Program was set up to facilitate it. To pull this off, the usual way of working within the life cycle of these projects and systems needed to be changed. Furthermore, the collaboration between TenneT and the contractors changes.
This also impacts the rest of the LPO organization. We do no longer have one traditional project team for one grid connections system, but we combine projects in portfolio’s, and make a split between team delivering the HVDC and Stations part, and regional project teams who deliver the overall grid connection system, including the sea cable. Additionally, LPO departments supporting the projects, like the Project Management Office and Engineering & Services, have to deal with this new way of working. Finally, our colleagues in running projects (like the existing 700MW an 900MW projects), have to be gradually prepared for their next challenge in 2GW, once their 700MW or 900MW project is finished. Finally, a possible split of TenneT might impact our department as well.
In order to drive, support and internalize these changes, we are currently looking for an (organisational) change manager.
Main tasks and objectives
The change manager is the project manager of this change process. You will be guiding the complete change process within LPO, and be a part of the LPO Business Team. This ensures the change manager can develop the right organizational and human changes from the complete and overall view of LPO. The change manager needs to advise on the right organizational changes and structures, and see what and how everyone is involved and what the new way of working involves for their current routines. The change manager ensures progress and is also available as a safe haven for those employees who are less likely to embrace the new way of working.
Attention is therefore focussed on soft skills, hesitations and concerns.
Tasks will include:
- Support the management team with strategical organizational development and implementation
- Support the management team with (cultural) change management and implementation
- Support the management team with team development
- Co-create an adjusted approach on internal collaboration between all LPO teams and departments
- Ensuring understanding and adoption of the adjusted way of working together in all LPO teams and departments
- Prepare and facilitate off-sites for the management team
- Communicate using language that fits our business environment, avoid using consultancy language and jargon.
The change manager's ultimate goal is to support with sustainable organizational advise, ensure that employees really embrace the renewed organization and collaboration within LPO, and experience more fun and motivation which will directly contribute to achieving our LPO goals.
You will functionally report to the Business Team Lead, and hierarchically to the Lead PMO - Large Projects Offshore.
