Your contribution to TenneT
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that software applications are meeting business requirements and providing value to end-users. You will work with business stakeholders and end-users mainly for Large Projects teams to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize the use of software applications. Together with the product teams and stakeholders, you discuss the acceptance criteria and you steer on realizing this criteria, with the focus on maximizing the value for TenneT. You will collaborate with business (key stakeholders, subject matter experts, product owners, etc), IT architects, development teams, etc to ensure that requirements defined are fit-for-purpose, meet business objectives and architecture principals.
This is a 100% dedicated role
Your key responsibilities include (but not restricted to):-
- Work with business stakeholders and end-users to understand their (business) technology solution needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with process advisors to define fit-for-purpose requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the project manager or product owner (in case of agile teams).
- Work with IT architects to ensure that the proposed solution meets the business needs.
- Impact analysis of technology solution proposed not only for the directly impacted application but also supporting applications from other domains, integrations, data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that software applications are meeting business requirements and adhering to best practices.
- Manage and prioritize enhancement requests, ensuring that they align with business goals and objectives.
- Ensure comprehensive functional documentation for projects handover; periodically review functional documentation based on continuous improvements and lessons learnt in an advisory capacity to the support organization.
- In case of conflicts in requirements versus system behaviour, be the advisor to development teams for projects and/or Functional and Technical Application Managers for support on a need basis.
- Advise software application releases and upgrades from a functional perspective.
- Ensure that software applications are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and analyze user adoption metrics and recommend improvements as needed.
- Demonstrate and encourage end-to-end thinking.
- Foster open dialogue and transparency in line with the cultural values of TenneT
- Encourage an organizational culture of continuous learning.

Your profile and background
You are a seasoned professional in business processes and technology solutions with the following qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in business analysis and/or functional application management or a related field.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with business process analysis and design is a must have.
- Significant experience in the software development lifecycle (both in traditional waterfall and agile) and experience in working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.
- Experience in working collaboratively with outsourced service providers in complex projects for solution delivery is a pre.
- Performance and outcome-oriented with can-do attitude and ability to enable deep collaboration with stakeholders on all levels
- Hands-on mentality, able to dig into details and collaborate across boundaries on a need basis.
- Belief in a non-hierarchical culture, transparency, collaboration and trust in teams
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain complex technology concepts lucidly to key stakeholders through different modes of communication (emails / presentations / structural documentation etc)
- Organizationally sensitive with attention to details.
- Experience in projects-related organizations (eg. heavy engineering, energy sector) is highly desired.
- Fluency in English is a must; basic Dutch language skills (or an interest to learn) is necessary.
